Text Box: Posi-Winder System Specifications The innovative Posi-Winder offers unparalled flexability to meet your current and future needs. The platform can be configured as a Winder or Powered Un-winder and can operate in a Torque or Speed mode of Operation. The modular design supports rapid and easy integration into any existing web Line and electrical integration is accomplished via a Quick connect Interface Cable. This single platform replaces the need for different winders for specific application types Surface winding vs. Center Winding etc.   Our platforms are designed around an ABB AC Drive System that precisely controls an AC Motor, which rotates the center core of the Winder. The system can Operate as a Precise Speed following System, which is trimmed via a Dancer System that can be loaded with precise tension or a load cell system both of which operate in a closed loop mode. The system can also be configured in continuous torque-controlled mode. The AC drive system has resident firmware that automatically, without any additional roll diameter sensors, calculates roll diameter build up and automatically compensates in Torque and Speed mode thus providing consistent Tension or Tensionless Winding and Un-winding. This capability allows us to offer a low cost solution that meets your present and future needs.       Mechanically the system is offered in two Configuration Models     1-     Completely self-contained system with Integrated Rack and chucking to Customer Spec (mobile / modular). a.       Standard Widths 50, 66, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, and 140” b.      Package Size Up to 36”, Greater than 36” c.       Package weights under 750 lbs or over 750lbs     2-     Fixed floor mounted system with adjustable Height for Center Drive Interface, Designed to be used in conjunction with existing mobile A-frames a.       Drive spline with Universal Joints to Customer spec. b. Package Dimensioning and Considerations same as above.
